  • 2026 SIMS API Changes

    The SIMS API has been updated to add two new endpoints, add some new query parameters, and update some responses to include additional fields. The updates are listed below. No existing fields are impacted by the additions.

  • 2026 Occupant Cost Center Changes in SIMS

    This article discusses planned adjustments to the way we track occupant cost centers in SIMS.

    Starting in Fall 2026, occupant cost center tracking in SIMS will look the same as cost center tracking currently does. This change will allow for more than three occupant cost centers to be listed for a space (the current format allows up to three occupant cost centers only). 

    The current occupant cost center fields (listed below) will be available temporarily after the change before being retired sometime after Spring 2027: 

  • Board of Trustees (BOT) Naming in SIMS for Student Assistants

    Finding and Reading Resolutions 

    For student assistants, new BOT namings will be normally passed along by a senior Data Analyst through a Smartsheet task. In that case, the new rooms will be attached as a pdf, already cut out from their original file.
