I am excited to announce that Jamison Van Andel joins the FITS Data Services team as our newest Facilities Data Analyst today!
Jamison is coming to us from Northeastern University in Boston where he has worked as a Data Governance Coordinator since 2023. Jamison is a Midwestern native, growing up in Detroit before going to Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI where he received a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. He loves to get outdoors and is passionate about mentoring student workers.
Jamison will be working along-side Heather Shade in managing the Space Information and Management System (SIMS) and will be an additional resource for all of you in the Space Data Community to assist you with any of your space data needs. Jamison brings tons of great experience from his previous experience working at Northeastern and we are excited to have him join the FITS Data Services team!
