Facilities Information and Technology Services (FITS) provides faculty and staff free access to BIM 360, a user-friendly online platform for viewing 3D models and floor plans of university buildings for projects and daily departmental operations. Access the information easily via the web or the free BIM 360 mobile app. No additional software or special skills are required.
Models are actively added and updated by the Architectural Services team to represent the built environment.
With BIM 360, users can:
- Access architectural models and floor plans for more than 600 buildings.
- Conduct virtual walkthroughs of spaces.
- Quickly view and understand building layouts.
- Take measurements.
- Save markups, screenshots, and notes.
- Connect to BIM 360 data from anywhere with internet access.
University employees with a need to access BIM 360 data for a project or for the daily operations of your department may request access by submitting a request and choosing the BIM 360 Access Request. Please include a detailed description of why you are interested in using BIM 360.
Departments maintaining their own facilities data may also connect to the BIM 360 environment with a BIM Collaborate Pro license. Benefits include:
- Direct integration with existing BIM data: Save effort and stay up to date by connecting to our Revit models.
- Cloud file storage for online team collaboration.
